Our pupils are the most important members of our school community and therefore we have a School Parliament consisting of four councils: School Council, Eco Council, Lunch Council and Harmony Council.
Elmhurst’s councils include pupils from Years 1 to 6 who have been elected by their peers and teachers to represent the views of their class. The Year 6 ambassadors act as the chair for each of these councils, leading regular meetings and ensuring initiatives are driven forward and progress is reported back to the whole school.
Pupils who wish to be considered for the role of class representative, deliver a short speech to their class at the beginning of the year, about why they think they would make a good councillor.
